Top 5 Hydrating Masks
They sound delicious, don’t they? But Skin Script’s Goji Berry Yogurt and Vanilla Bean aren’t desserts…they’re our pros’ favorite hydrating masks! Each mask is formulated to hydrate and moisturize the skin while firming the skin, improving elasticity, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Vanilla Bean goes even further, since vanillin is an antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals. Plus, the Vanilla Bean mask is made with glycerin and mushroom to hydrate, firm, and improve your skin. Still not done…passion flower, feverfew, and yarrow have anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties—who wouldn’t love all that stuff in a mask? Yummy scents aside, Skin Script masks get the job done.
Dry face? Your skin needs the moisturization of Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Masque. It’s perfect for dry, stressed skin and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines—I don’t think any of us mind getting some help in that department…am I right? Dermalogica’s mask is different from most masks out there though–it uses hyaluronic acid moisture to deliver time-released hydration to keep your skin moisturized for longer.
It’s also made with lycopene-rich tomato seed lipids that help restore your skin’s protective barrier, which leads to smoother, healthier-looking skin. And you’ve gotta love that Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Masque is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, and contains no bullshit ingredients like artificial fragrances or colors.
The next best thing to crushing rose petals and rubbing them into your face! I’m kidding…sort of. Fresh’s Rose Mask actually uses real rose petals suspended in a smooth gel that soothes and tones and plumps. This mask is exactly what you want when you want to chill. Picture this—rosewater, cucumber extract, and aloe work to cool and calm, as a blend of teas brightens the skin. Nice, right?
So, let’s see…smooth, supple skin that’s healthy and hydrated and toned. And the best part? It smells like fresh roses! Fresh definitely got it right with their Rose Mask, which is why it’s one of the pros’ favorites!
So, as we go down this Glossilist, you might be asking yourself (or me), “what makes this mask different from the rest?” Well, kittens, Tata Harper’s Hydrating Floral Mask is different for many reasons. First, they formulate, manufacture, and package all of their products–by hand!–in Vermont.
The mask…how about 39 high-performance botanical ingredients? This mask is loaded with hyaluronic acid, which quenches your dry skin’s thirst and brings it back to life like a withering flower getting a much-needed rain shower. Tata’s Hydrating Floral Mask also includes a blend of 13 flowers that soothes redness and evens skin tone. Add to that 13 more ingredients for intense hydration, 12 ingredients that help soothe redness, and 18 vitamins and minerals. I’m no math genius, but that’s a lot of skin-hydrating, moisturizing ingredients. And that makes for one kick-ass mask.
Another hydrating mask from Dermalogica? The pros know best! Dermalogica obviously makes some pretty effective products, and their Colloidal Masque Base is another one of those. Especially if you’ve got dry skin. This mask base deeply moisturizes with botanical humectants as it cools and hydrates the skin, especially around the eyes and lips.
The Colloidal Masque Base helps minimize the appearance of environmental stress and, super important…helps prevent future damage. And isn’t that what we all want from our products? Performance, protection, and prevention!
If you’ve got dry skin, don’t sweat it. Give these hydrating face masks a try, and you’re going to be happy with the results. After all, pros aren’t gonna steer you wrong. These are the products they use and love and recommend, so you know these are legit!
Stay tuned for the next Glossilist, ya’ll!
